Iasi
Second city of Romania, situated near the border with the Republic of Moldova, Iasi is 130 km away from our Chisinau office and 410 km from Bucharest. Built on the slopes of seven hills, Iasi is the city with the largest number of French speakers and the greatest university center after Bucharest.
Called "the city of chroniclers" because numerous founders of the Romanian culture were born or lived here, Iasi was considered as the cultural and spiritual capital of Romania until the beginning of the 20th century.
