1993 : Pentalog was created in Orléans by five students at the end of their studies
1994 : Pentalog completed its first consulting and software development job for the France Telecom Group.
1995 : Pentalog (a subsidiary of IT services) was created.
1996 : First intranet development using java; Pentalog has 18 employees at the end of the year.
1998 : (30 employees) Pentalog was asked to develop management software for the privatization of France Telecom. Many prestigious clients consisting of companies like Dior, Guerlain, Michelin, Philips, Delphi are now a part of the Pentalog portfolio.
1999 : at the end of the year a program was launched to develop a web portal software package in Java and XML. Followed by the opening of a branch office in Brasov (Romania). The company headquarters was destroyed by a storm on December 26. Pentalog was insured against this loss and overcame this setback.
2000 : Pentalog exported its services to Kenya for Vivendi and to the USA for HP. 90% of employees are English speakers.
2001 : Pentalog became a provider for AFNOR, the French Standardization Association (for the national certification workflow).
2002 : The software package launched in 1999 is 85% complete. The General Meeting of shareholders chose to keep the Romanian branch and to use it as a fixed-price development center in order to meet customer expectations. Pentalog exported its services to Morocco for Vivendi and to Bulgaria for AFNOR.
2003 : 0.25% bench time rate on average that year without creating a customer waiting time. First developments on PDA. The company covered 8 European languages and began to sell its services on the Romanian market. Pentalog had a growth rate of 10% in a year when the market was down -8%.
2004 : This year was characterized by interesting projects for Orange, Vitalicom, France Telecom, Loxam, Lexmark. A second office was opened in Romania, in Bucharest (Capital). The Romanian staff was increasing rapidly (+80% between 01/01/04 and 31/12/04).
Innovative SMEs represent a substantial proportion of our growth. Annual growth was at 14%.
2005 : Pentalog had a total workforce of 90 people. The share of export sales increased. Annual growth reached 21%. A capital increase was carried out. Company share holding was opened to the employees, representing 56% of the votes.
New prestigious companies joined the customer portfolio: Leroy Somer in third party application maintenance and remote server administration, Lefebvre Software (software subsidiary of Editions Francis Lefebvre), the group Lowendal (third party application maintenance and network and application management).
Pentalog opened a branch office in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova (Capital) and further developed the Romanian customer base.
2006 : The total number of employees reached 110 people. Annual growth reached 30%.
Pentalog signed new contracts with major companies in France and abroad: Orange Romania, BRD (Société Générale), Vodafone, Intermarché, Teleperformance, Acticall Group etc.
The creation of the Pentalog Technology joint venture (50% co-ownership with Ausy, an information services company) allows Pentalog to enter the embedded development market from the beginning of 2007.

2007 : Annual growth was 67%. Pentalog had 200 employees. The sales figure of the Group exceeded €5.5 million. A branch office was opened in Iasi, Romania and Moldova saw their staff grow by 53 employees (70%).
Pentalog created its Incubator: internal school designed to integrate new employees and to organize continuing education sessions for the others, the Incubator hosted nearly 30 people in its first year; three quarters of them were recruited at the end of their training.
2008 : Annual growth rate was 65%. The total number of employees was 300. The annual sales figure of the group was well over 9 million €.
In terms of infrastructure, 2008 saw the creation of 3 branch offices, Sibiu (Romania), Frankfurt (Germany) and Hanoi (Vietnam) and the doubling of all others. Pentalog founded "People Centric", an IT recruitment agency in Romania.

Pentalog pursues its diversification policy by creating the Acticall Eastern Europe joint venture, a 50/50 co-ownership with the Acticall group, which specializes in customer relationship management (software solutions and call centres).
Pentalog is now ISO 9001:2008 certified for all European sites and for all of its activities.
Pentalog won the "Deloitte Technology Fast 50″ "Coup de Coeur" prize for the Grand Ouest region.
2009 : Hanoi began production in March 2009. The estimated net sales for the year exceed 13.6 million euros and a workforce of 430 employees. 100 people were recruited in Romania and Moldova.
The growth of sales figure is 50% while the overall IT services market is - 6%.
Pentalog was ranked 458th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) ranking which recognizes the top 500 technology companies with the strongest sales figure growth over the last 5 years, from 2004 to 2008. Pentalog registered a growth rate of 391% during this period.
