This project involved the building and modelling of a MI Dashboard solution in SQL Server BI technology (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL), with the initial design spec being proposed by HFT. It was about defining and building a MI Dashboard architecture that meets the immediate reporting needs of the business (Payroll, Finance, Budget, HR), and which provides a `template' solution for additional report development i.e. the agile build & slot-in of reports. Involving most aspects of Dashboard development including data story telling, ETL, datasets, parameters/stored procedures, charts, tablix, calculated expressions, drill-down, drill-through, JavaScript, navigation, regional and divisional levels of abstraction. Also the coding of Procedures, Functions and Views in T-SQL in order to shape and prepare data for Dashboard visualisations. Working closely with the IT project manager, and key business users in order to gather, define and clarify business reporting requirements.
