• Designed and performed 2 screens for the characterisation of microbiota effects on proteostasis and development
• Wrote code for robotised screening platform and flow cytometry analyses to perform the screens mentioned above 

Institute of Healthy Ageing, University College LondonOctober 2014 - December 2018

• Identified evidence gaps and developed evidence generation strategies to evaluate hypothesis regarding Ca2+ signalling role in a necrosis subtype in a neurodegenerative disease model; this research lead to development of a recently-published theory regarding evolution of ageing.
• The accomplished projects evidence of independently developed hypotheses, executed research plan, effective problem-solving and prioritization resulted in 7 high impact publications (mostly first-authored).
• Developed excellent communication skills by working in a multidisciplinary team of 8 people (bench biologists and bioinformaticians) and established 2 fruitful collaborations: within UCL with Dr Yakimovich and with Dr Pincus from Washington University, USA
• Gained fluency with Python (model for evolution of ageing simulations) and R (wrote tools to analyse muscle contraction data).
• Gave several lectures as well as tutorials at UCL

• Participated in a project on the genetic predisposition to atherosclerosis using whole-exome deep-sequencing.
• Data processing and cleaning, and later analysis of genome sequencing
• Collection, processing of blood samples and analyses of DNA sequencing data from 500 patients with atherosclerosis
• Gave two lectures for medical students

Mitotech LLCNovember 2007 - December 2012

• Gained experience in basic research, designed and executed 3 scientific projects, resulted in peer reviewed research publications and one literature review.
• Supervised a team of BSc and MRes students, coordination of collaboration between Mitotech LLC and academic institutions
