During Sept 2014 - Oct 2015 the main objectives of the EMEA Partner Portal Team were the deployment of a new Partner Portal based on Liferay Enterprise Portal solution and the Portal Separation Project.
As a team lead and web architect my responsibilities were to:
- Develop and implement a strategy for the Liferay Enterprise Portal deployment across EMEA(200k users+) - Develop and implement a strategy for the portal separation in the context of the company's split(run and maintain one portal during the pre-split period while preparing 2 portals for the new companies HPI & HP Enterprise) - Building the deployment and separation team - Provide training for the new members - Status reporting of the deployment projects to regional and ww management teams - Actively participate in the deployments on different areas such as: - data migration(content, pages, users, etc.) - portal administration - reporting - profilling - support for MoC & Comms - post deployment war rooms - Work as a domain expert/web architect/regional operations representative with the Product Owners/Architecture Owner/Development Team and the WW Project Management Team to deploy new releases of the portal(user stories creation, testing, validation) - Main point of contact for regional escalations
My achievements during this period were: - created a deployment team which consisted of: project manager, reporting analyst, portal administrator, content manager, web designer, web developer - deployed a new portal for more than 200k users - ran and maintained one portal during the pre-split period while developing 2 new portals for the HPI and HP Enterprise companies - knowledge transfer for the newly created teams operating the portals of the new companies
Technical management of EMEA HP's Channel Partner Portal.
Maintenance - Create and manage web pages - Translation Management - Regulate and manage access rights of different users on website - Troubleshoot issues with the web portal related to: - Functionality access to end users/customers - Tools used by internal users to publish and maintain portal content - Integrations to load reporting data, users, and user access rights to the portal - Perform root cause analysis and either implement fixes or escalate to development team to implement fixes - Main point of contact for the development teams - Write business requirements documents for new releases - Main contact for UAT, validation and MTPs.
Programming(backend & front-end development): - Develop standalone web applications - Develop new features, customizations and enhancements on the portal - Manage and develop new themes - Testing and deployment
Proposal Web is a WW web-based tool to support HP sales activities. It provides information needed to create professional proposal documents and a wide spectrum of additional collateral material in order to fulfill the whole proposal sales cycle e.g. presentation material, reference and success stories, datasheets, etc.
- Support worldwide deployment of Proposal Web Portal - Collect, qualify and introduce new enhancement requests to IT developers - Provide system settings and support for country rollouts - Provide system related support on new functionalities to IT - Ensure the good functionality of Proposal Web(log tickets with IT, work with IT on reported issues) - Contact point for IT issues of Proposal Web Portal - Performance monitoring of the tool - Contact point for Proposal Web Knowledge & Content Managers team technical and functionality requests(trainings, technical informations) - Support for Sales Satisfaction Survey implementation(using Zoomerang) - Perform tool system and functionality quality tests - Create and maintain word templates used for the automated functionalities of Proposal Web - Create, edit and maintain new pages, sections, links, autometed feaatures on the Proposal Web Portal using the tool's CMS system and HTML - Provide support for escalated regional User, CM and Admin requests - Maintain online user manual, FAQs and quick reference guide with other regions - Create and provide requested statistics and reports - Provide regional Content Manager & Admin trainings and be backup for content management - Support tool template development and system setup - Maintain worldwide user database (support auto cleanup of users, correct country mappings in the statistics, etc.) - Overall EMEA content quality tests (e.g. Formatting, metadata) - Overall EMEA tool functionality quality tests - Support Business with ongoing work - Generation of EMEA specific monthly reporting and scorecards
- Handling configurations,quotations and OPG's requests coming from sales - Creating configurations and legal quotations for software products(using Watson Configurator/Quoter) - Creating OPG's and legal quotes for Open Call servers and configurations(Eclipse) - Ensure compliance with the rules stated in the special pricing policy document for the official customer quotation - Perform mandatory checks on received documentation in order to ensure compliance with the process - Deliver buildable configurations - Chase BUs for approvals and provide necessary information to them in order to speed up OPG and quote generation - Reporting (using Siebel)
