This being my first project as a freelancer I got a good exposure of every aspect of the front end development. The responsibility of creating the whole site all by myself was challenging and exciting. I have been involved right from information gathering, choosing the right template, customising it using GIMP and developing the site using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and Bootstrap.
The site was successfully launched in September 2018 and the next couple of months I was involved in maintaining and enhancing the site.
ETX Capital is a UK based financial company that provides institutional, high- net-worth and retail customers with multi-asset market derivatives trading through financial spread betting and contract for difference (CFDs) products. ETX Capital provides online trading in spread betting, CFDs and foreign exchange (forex).
As a sole SiteFinity developer I was responsible for * day to day marketing website related changes, enhancement and bug fixing tasks. (SiteFinity CMS, HTML, CSS, Javascript) * Creating new pages, templates, widgets and code improvements to enhance the usability of the CMS. (SiteFinity CMS, HTML, CSS, Javascript) * Working alongside two teams, I managed my work well under both, Agile and waterfall methodologies. * Worked under tight compliance related deadlines successfully.
Ukash, now Paysafecard, was a UK-based electronic money system that allowed users to make payments online. The application allowed users to exchange their cash for a secure code. The code was then used to make payments online, to load cards or e-wallets or for money transfers. Codes were distributed around the world by participating retail locations, kiosks and ATMs.
* As an Ektron developer I was involved in the day to day bug fixing and enhancement of the company's website (Ektron CMS, Javascript, HTML, CSS). * worked extensively on developing the new company website for desktop, tablets and mobile. (Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap on .NET platform). * Gained experienced on creating responsive webpages using Bootstrap.
CityIndex is one of the leading providers of spread betting and CFD trading in the UK, City Index has over 25 years’ experience in the industry. As a senior frontend developer I was responsible for developing and supporting websites, ITPs and application forms for CityIndex and its clients within an agile environment. As part of the development cycle I have developed efficient tools for automated deployment and continuous development, using Test Driven Development to improve the quality of my code. • Developed custom templates, extensions, widgets and forms for the Ektron CMS. (HTML, Javascript, CSS, .NET platform) • Created branding for new and existing ITPs, including foreign language based platforms for external partners to use as their own. (XML, XSLT, javascript) • Lead developer for the data migration of the flagship application for an improved business structure whilst ensuring the quality of work remained optimum. In addition, supported the migration of websites from Immediacy 5.0 to the new Ektron CMS platform.(Ektron CMS400, Immediacy 5.0 & data migration) • Designed and provided training and knowledge transfer programme on the development process to new joiners and other teams on third party products such as Ektron. (Development processes & IT Product Training) • Built validated automation and deployment scripts in order to deploying websites, ITPs and application forms. (Cruise control, MS Build – Nant, Code Smith) • Developed various tools for the business teams, for example applying foreign language translations for ITP content using C#, or an application to create an IIS Virtual directory and configure IIS settings on dynamically for new branded applications. (WPF framework & C#) • One of my high point was being the only person to successfully attend and pass a rigorous in-house TDD training course to improve code quality. (C#, .NET, Nunit) • Embraced Agile methodology for improved performance of the team and improve the quality of my code. Developed and maintained CityIndex’s main website, its foreign sites and other clients consisting of financial firms, investment banks and trading companies. ● Used Immediacy CMS for editing and creating sites by developing HTML templates, javascript plug-ins and CSS. ● Involved in the website migration and database syncing during the upgrade of Immediacy CMS. ● Prioritised the work load of the team, fixing and reporting bugs.
Expedia, Inc is a well known and a successful travel company. Launched in November 1998, it is the biggest online travel agent in the UK serving millions of travellers every year. Involved in updating and maintaining Expedia UK (Expedia.co.uk) and its other European web sites. I was involved in the development, support and testing of the web applications. * Involved in writing console and web applications and developing frontend components. (HTML, CSS, Javascript) * Created XML documents for a redirection project.(XML) * Migrated old ASP web pages to ASP.Net web pages. (.NET) * Key member to resolve bugs and provide support to the web application.
ActiveWeb is the content management and integrated solutions arm of Transputec computers. It has an international client base including companies in commerce, finance and legal sectors as well as government organisations. Responsible for the continued development and maintenance of the .NET based rendering engine. * Worked with clients to redesign the content architecture of the site to improve the layout and usability of the site(HTML, CSS and Javascript) . * Redesigned and refactored existing site code. * Created XSLT templates, CSS based layouts and bespoke web controls for client implementations (XSLT, CSS, ASP.NET, javascript). * Improved cross browser compatibility, usability and accessibility with a strict adherence to W3C standards and methodologies.

Slough Talking Newspaper is a charitable organisation for blind people. * Used of CSS to style and section content * Used JavaScript to describe the global links * Coded all the pages using XHTML to W3C standards. * Designed pages using Adobe's Paintshop.
The company's intranet included client and employer's details and project information. The web pages were developed using ASP, XHTML, CSS, VBScript and with SQL server. * Created the user interface for static and dynamic pages using HTML, CSS, ASP controls and javascript for client site validation. * Created user authentication objects with user and password validation. (ASP & javascript) * Created ASP components to execute SQL stored procedures to query database. (ASP & SQL Server)
