Activity: Designing and developing our main applications and keeping an eye on the AWS infrastructure. 

Responsibilities: Designing and building new Restful APIs; bug-fixing; maintenance or updates on the servers we have.

The biggest task was a migration from a NoSQL database to a relational database. This was achieved by wrapping a MySQL DB in an API which would cut through the application replacing the calls on the business logic level acting exactly as the existing calls to the previous NoSQL database. This resulted in no visible changes to the user but a 11x speed increase in page loads

I learned Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, Loopback, npm, pm2, Gulp. Also I improved my understanding of AWS.
