Ecommerce project with a SSR application (Next.js), developed using two headless CMS (Dato and Commercetools), to provide content and functionality to the front- end layer (React, TypeScript, Tailwind and Storybook).
Their current MVP had a UI which wasn’t built using the latest front-end stack. Since it was necessary to make the product scalable on the front-end, React, Redux and TypeScript were used to rebuild the demo functionality. Most of the technical work involved the use of Mapbox. I was hired for the second time to work for one of their clients (housing association) to build together, with a team of about 14 people, an internal platform to help manage their products. Technologies used: React, Redux, TypeScript, Material UI, styled components, React Testing Library and Storybook.
Pension start-up aimed for freelancer to start saving for their pension. The contract was for 2 months and I helped them to deliver new features (pension calculator) against tight deadlines for one of their major milestones. Tech stack was: React, GraphQL and styled components.
Amido is an independent technical consultancy delivering cloud solutions. I was hired to deliver major features for an identity platform for the BBC. Liaising with project managers and management team to guarantee an effective flow of information. Experimenting with new frameworks and build prototypes to to the rest of the team as a possible future solution. Working with VWO to run A/B tests on hostelworld.com
Working within an Agile environment made of 3 sprint teams. Collaborating closely with PHP developers and project managers to guarantee an effective implementation of new functionalities across Hostelbookers adaptive site. Implementing Foundation and SASS for better maintenance and front end performance. Making an effective use of Sublime Text plugins for a more efficient workflow. Mentoring junior developers and being proactive in solving or suggesting solutions for other development teams. Keeping UI and JS coding standards up to date with the latest trends and discoveries. Building JS libraries for better maintenance and reusable code across Hostelbookers functionalites. Working closely with designers to create a fresh and innovative look for Hostelbookers, making sure that business requirements are carefully met.
