Parker Webs was created from the back of my successful period as a Freelancer, it got to a point where I started to acquire far to much work than I myself could manage. Unbeknowing at its inception, I needed to get more resource and built a team to fulfill my client's needs.
Over the past few years, it's mainly been Laravel work and also mobile applications for internal systems, which I have led my team to successful deployment and of course customer satisfaction. While Parker Webs is no longer my main role, I still tend to do quite a lot of work outside of my normal job, which allows me to gain invaluable experience.
Working for myself was something I always saw myself doing, but the one thing I'd always wanted to do is work with large organisations and get an understanding of marketing strategies and all the thought that go into websites and projects.
I've had the privilege of working with a great team working on projects for organisations such as Michelin, Wex, and even Saint-Gobain. During my time at Lesniak Swann I was able to develop my Laravel knowledge and also work with Wordpress in a new way. I also found my self-doing server management and ensuring all sites were up and running at all times.
Hatch is the ultimate lead generation tool for businesses, this was my very first business which has the aim of helping businesses to reach an audience they didn't even know they had. The software worked flawlessly and we received a lot of praise and positive feedback.
The issue we had was when it came to marketing the product, it would have been a huge investment of both time and money to get hold of the resource needed to grow Hatch into the successful business it could have been. It was a difficult decision to let go.
Since leaving college a lot of my job applications were rejected due to the lack of commercial experience, as university was never really a path I wanted to take, I ended up building up my own client portfolio before going on to setting up my own company.
Working with software like Drupal, Joomla and Wordpress I was pretty much a jack of all trades at this point, but I enjoyed every second.
