Currently implementing
Concur Travel and Expense, working with a Finance team in Italy and a Travel
Desk in the UK.  The system is being
implanted in the UK, Italy and the USA initially with future rollouts planned
for Dubai, China and Hong Kong. The programme is highly integrated with a
global travel management company, lodge cards and individual corporate credit
cards. I currently lead a core team of 6 people and am the primary interface
with Concur and other 3rd parties.

AIG Europe Ltd, EMEA HQMarch 2012 - March 2016

Worked in
the Finance (Controlling) area, implementing systems and workflows to support
the strategic goals of reducing risk through enhanced controls and
standardising operating procedures across all jurisdictions. This facilitated
the implementation of a successful TOM for AIG Regional Finance.

  • Rolled out Concur to more than 30 EMEA branches, facilitating
    standardised expense reporting whilst customising only where necessary to meet
    local regulatory requirements.  Typical
    country roll-out took 12-18 weeks.  I
    managed a team of 5 as well as the key business stakeholders.  The tool provided detailed MI on expenses in
    the region reducing outstanding provisions by as much as £500k in the larger
  • Deployed Docushare throughout the Finance department in AIG so that it became the workflow
    tool of choice, facilitating distributed working between local countries,
    regional HQs and offshore centres in India and Hungary. 
  • Project managed the implementation of an Access based Accounts Receivable
    tool to manage cash collection from brokers around Europe
  • Project managed roll-out of Reconciliations application, BlackLine.


AIG Europe SA, Continental Europe HQJune 2008 - March 2012

worked on the implementation of a web-based tool for insurance brokers in
France, Italy and Spain to place SME business. Transferred internally to be
part of the Finance Transformation team which offshored to India routine
journal entries for 40+ EMEA legal entities. Also led a project to set up an integrated
GL expense and cost centre structure for the group.
