Worked closely with the CEO on the redesign of an existing product, paying close attention to user interactions and coming up with different scenarios of how the user journey would be composed. Presenting these prototypes with the various teams involved with the product, such as; development, user testers and client services proved that that the user experience was a big improvement over what is currently in place.

Tools for this job included the Adobe Creative Suite, making use of an existing assets composed in illustrator by a previous graphic designer. These were shared across creative cloud libraries and Adobe XD was used as the wire- framing and prototyping tool of choice.

Earlier work in the project involved looking at a different product, which included front end web development tech stack using bootstrap 4 with NPM and Node web build tools and also looking at a 2D animation for a product concept. Animation was achieved using a combination of Adobe Animate and css transitions with svg vector graphics.

Analyse existing CMS system and optimise the web interface for faster page load speed. Website was optimised from 6.5 seconds - 0.5 seconds, huge improvements were made mainly by image compression.

Helped marketing team with conversation rate optimisation (CRO) and also setup virtual page views to track particular links that were clicked to take users to a different domain.

Setup per per click advertising for a large government contract (NCS), which coincided with the CRO.

Also researching the current schemes with the various directors involved with project and designing high fidelity wireframes, which would be used for a mobile app UX prototype.

Look after the front end development for a new large scale digital web project, the finished CMS is to be released across 15 racecourses.

Design the css architecture using SASS and SCSS variables for easy maintenance of the site. Use of CSS 3 selectors to replace jQuery where possible for faster page loads. All the markup is using html 5 and the site uses bootstrap 4 grid structure integrated with a custom SASS theme. Backbone.js
used with NPM and require.js

The delivery of the project is done in an agile fashion using scrum methodologies and 2 weeks sprints are managed with Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket. Bitbucket repositories are managed with a fail safe branching strategy all using the GIT workflow.

Front end templates have been developed using atomic design principles with pattern lab, as to make it easy for the backend developers to pick up templates ready to integrate into CMS controls. The development environment also consists of using virtual machines with the latest code using composer and bower for command line updates via terminal.

Workstation consists of 5k iMac with 27 inch Cinema display along with Adobe creative suit and php storm is the preferred IDE for the project.

Analysing traffic over the last 3 years and designing wire frames for mega drop down menus to make the user experience and user interface (UI/UX) more intuitive for a brand new website layout. Working within a specialist team of web professionals in an MVC project environment, ensuring that each stage of the work is communicated and conveyed in a logical manner.

A number of duties for this particular project include, meetings with academics and web marketing managers and other web professionals, including regular lesion with the image editor and web marketing manager to make the project process run smoothly.

The website is based on contemporary responsive framework with a column layout that folds down to appropriate resolutions based on @media queries and will work across all supported browsers, desktop computers and mobile devices. Part of my job consists of developing the mega drop down menus using the current class structure within the set out responsive framework and to test for bugs and possible user issues.
