Pentalog is looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join our client's team, a leading software solution provider in the market research industry. The goal is to create top-notch software that goes beyond customer expectations, ensuring our client stays ahead in their field.

In this role, you'll take on key responsibilities to improve the security and development practices of our client's software. You'll work closely with the product, tech, and security teams to build a safer software environment. This includes creating strategies to protect our client's database and managing secure processes for handling sensitive information.

Your job will involve both defensive and offensive security tasks to prevent and respond to threats, helping us meet the ISO 27001 standard for information security. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about cybersecurity, enjoys solving complex problems, and likes working in a team to make software safer and more efficient.
 

Job requirements

  • At least 6+ years of experience on a similar position;
  • Strong knowledge in offensive security (certification is a plus);
  • Experience with security pen testing tools;
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems (SOC/SIEM);
  • Understanding of software development best practices;
  • Cloud knowledge (GCP/Azure/AWS);
  • Experience in a compliance-enforced environment;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; 
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
     

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various teams to provide expert security input;
  • Take part in the security of platforms that host thousands of users;
  • Aid in achieving ISO 27001 certification for our platforms;
  • Conduct pen testing and defensive monitoring to maintain top-notch security;
  • Document systems, improving the Information Security Management System (ISMS), and ensuring compliance;
  • Engage in risk assessment and continuous monitoring.
     

Extra skills

  • Proficiency in software development, especially .NET;
  • Experience with GCP, Jira, and Confluence;
  • Background in working with software teams, particularly in product and tech environments.
