Project information:
The Agile-driven team focuses on further improve the client’s education e-platform. Your primary focus in this role will be to understand and optimize/ improve many existing MySQL queries that are running against the legacy platform data.
Many of these queries were created several years ago and are running from scheduled Cron Jobs on a particular system. Now, due to the pile-up, there are instances where the database system running them gets bogged down. It takes longer than it should to execute queries and is often resource constrained, preventing Data Analysts from being able to execute ad hoc queries against the data.
