As a MariaDB Database Administrator, you will ensure optimal database performance and security, playing a pivotal role in our continuous drive for innovation and efficiency.
 

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a MariaDB database administrator;
  • Expertise in optimizing SQL queries;
  • Expertise in MariaDB administration and optimization;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving database problems;
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field;
  • Excellent communication and English skills.
     

Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of MariaDB database systems;
  • Proactive identification and resolution of issues through database performance monitoring;
  • Conducting regular database backups and ensuring the integrity of data;
  • Enhancing database performance through tuning, indexing, and optimizing queries;
  • Collaborating with development teams to boost overall system performance;
  • Implementing and upholding security best practices for MariaDB databases;
  • Managing user access and permissions within the database;
  • Developing strategies for database backup and restoration;
  • Conducting tests and implementing recovery plans in the event of database failures;
  • Installing monitoring tools to oversee database health and performance;
  • Responding swiftly to alerts and addressing issues as they arise;
  • Documenting database configurations, processes, and procedures comprehensively;
  • Collaborating with developers and system administrators to facilitate application development and deployment.
     

Extra skills

  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions, especially AWS RDS.
