Our new client, a genealogy company specializing in French family history research, is looking for a Database Developer.  

As the number one website for French records, the company gathers more than one million active visitors every month. Their database contains over 150 million indexed images and billions of records from France, including collections of civil records (births, marriages, and deaths) and census, church, and military records, dating back to 1500. 

Tech stack:

  • ASP.NET MVC 5 / C#, VisualStudio, WebApi, MongoDB, SQL Server, JSON, XML, Linq, Windows Server 2019
  • SQLServer 2019, SQL, Transac-SQL
  • JavaScript/jQuery, Integration HTML/CSS - transition to React.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Database Developer; 
  • Must-have experience with SQLServer 2019;
  • SQL general know-how;
  • Previous work with Transact-SQL;
  • Knowledge of MVC;
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop stored procedures and optimized queries;
  • Create batch processing and data transformation;
  • Process large volumes of data (databases of several TB);
  • Ensure maintenance and migration operations.
     

Extra skills

  • Experience with WebAPI
  • ADO.Net skills;
  • DevOps know-how;
  • Previous work with MongoDB.
