Our client, a top-tier travel website, is seeking to expand their security team with a new member. We are looking for an Application Security Engineer who will evaluate and fortify the security of our client's applications, both on-premise and in the cloud. This position offers the opportunity to work across various global locations, including Central & South America, Portugal, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Turkey, and Morocco.
 

Job requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in manual security testing;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and overall application security standards;
  • Proficient in an object-oriented programming language, such as Java or Python;
  • Expertise in IaaS security, specifically with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP;
  • Experience with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SSAE 16, COBIT, PCI, SOX, HIPAA, GLBA);
  • Experience in deploying and managing security solutions and procedures in a mixed cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, and on-premise;
  • Good grasp of IT operations and service support methodologies;
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field;
  • Very good communication and English language skills.
     

Responsibilities

  • Conducting vulnerability assessments on web applications to identify and rectify security issues;
  • Investigating emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and methods of exploitation;
  • Acting on and addressing new security challenges, contributing to the establishment of new security protocols as necessary;
  • Completing tasks with precision and adhering to set deadlines.;
  • Technical guidance and oversight of technical resources;
  • Collaborating effectively within a team while ensuring the privacy of investigative data;
  • In-depth understanding of OWASP principles for a range of applications.

  • Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, MSCE, Security+, CSSLP);
