About the project

How we hire:
At Pentalog, excellence is what you'll do. We're guided by a mission to positively impact the software development world.

We are continuing our partnership with a company that has created a revolutionary cloud-based platform. As generation rent is leading to more and more tenants, the need for simple and transparent rating is more obvious.

To solve recurring higher digital expectations, this PropTech scale-up with roots in the UK is on a quest to disrupting the industry, with a solution meant to improve the letting experience of real estate agents, landlords and tenants. And now, they are looking for a PHP Consultant who can help with solving renting real-world problems.

This project offers the perfect opportunity for developing new skills, as many of the present team joined as back-end or front-end developers, and are now working across the full stack. Agility is a key work, as close work with the stakeholders and the use of Kanban to iterate quickly on customer feedback are the norm.

Technical information:

The application comprises a PHP (7.4) app that communicates with a number of internal (Scala) and third party services via HTTP.

Our UI is a mixture of jQuery and React (using Typescript) and we’re actively pushing to have everything in React.

The app and all services are deployed in Docker containers running in a Kubernetes cluster on AWS.

We use Github for version control and Circle CI for building, testing and deploying code to the staging and production environments. All data is persisted in a MYSQL (AWS Aurora) database.

The small, self-organizing squads build the platforms and tools to help our client achieve their mission.
