Pentalog is searching for a QA Manual Engineer for a project involving an online marketplace, used by 200+ countries worldwide for comparing and booking multi-day tours.

Our client, a company with Austrian roots, has services that are aimed at tech lovers and online tourists, proposing itineraries, guides, travel expert services and deals complemented by video and photo samples available 24/7.

The team that you will be part of is working as an extension of the client's in-house team. You will join a project that focuses on the launch of a new feature to the website that allows customers to split the payment of a tour between the travelers. In the QA Manual Engineer role, you will need to create and test the possible scenarios on how the feature would mainly be used, as well as work on edge cases that need to be covered in testing.
 

Job requirements

  • Proven work experience as a QA Manual Engineer;
  • Analytical mindset, strong work ethic and thoroughness;
  • Experience in writing SQL queries;
  • Ability to deal with changing demands, in a dynamic startup environment;
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes;
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment;
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases;
  • Evaluate and analyze test results;
  • Spot issues that are not in product specification;
  • Take part in daily stand-ups and work closely with product managers to validate features;
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs;
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
  • Work closely with other colleagues to identify system requirements.

Extra skills

  • Experience with Google Sheets;
  • Knowledge of using POSTMAN or similar API testing tools;
  • Experience in reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
  • Test automation (for example Cypress, Assertible).
