We're looking for an experienced Rust Developer to join our client's team, where you'll be at the forefront of the future of the creator economy, working on one or more key projects that drive innovation in content creation.

You will be responsible for expanding our client’s capabilities for acquiring and managing public social data from YouTube and Facebook.
 

Job requirements

  • Extensive Rust programming experience with a track record of building efficient, secure and concurrent applications;
  • A strong understanding of web API development, RESTful principles and API design best practices;
  • Experience implementing real-time monitoring and visibility features using tools such as Grafana or Datadog;
  • Ability to improve internal monitoring systems, including requesting social media channel tracking capabilities and updating associated documentation;
  • Experience of enhancing applications such as a Quota Manager to effectively track and manage API quota usage;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with regard to code quality and documentation;
  • Good communication skills, with proficiency in English.
     
Rust

Responsibilities

  • Add functionality to provide real-time monitoring and visibility (using Grafana/ Datadog etc) and build APIs to expose the data;
  • Extend the on-demand DataSource API by improving the integration with TikTok, adding Facebook support and creating/improving all associated documentation;
  • Improve the internal monitoring request facility, which allows teams to request YouTube and Facebook channel tracking, by updating documentation, adding Facebook support and addressing any additional monitoring use cases that may arise;
  • Develop new or tweak existing collection connectors as needed to increase the number of data sources we can connect to or collect new metrics as they become available;
  • Enhance the internal Quota Manager application to better track and manage API quota usage.
