Our client, a leading global FinTech headquartered in London, United Kingdom, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

The position requires hands-on experience in marketing measurement and experimentation. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and sales strategies, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of work experience in technology, start-ups, data storage, or analysis is required;
  • Good understanding of DBT (Data Build Tool), Airflow, Git, CI/CD, AWS;
  • Previous experience in designing, building and managing complex data models using knowledge of data warehouse principles (ideally Snowflake) with an eye on performance and maintainability;
  • Ability to analyze business needs in different functional areas and convert them into data products;
  • Experience in building advanced dashboards, ideally using Tableau;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, effective communication skills and a strategic mindset to work effectively with GTM leadership;
  • Previous experience developing with Python;
  • Good English proficiency.
     

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models in line with EU GTM KPIs;
  • Guarantee the consistency and quality of the EU GTM ETL pipeline and KPIs;
  • Use data to guide business decisions and results through rigorous analysis, data visualisation and communication of insights;
  • Work together with stakeholders and data analysts to define KPIs and consolidate business logic, ensuring that metrics and data models accurately reflect business and stakeholder needs;
  • Encourage and support the use of dbt and software engineering practices among data analysts to ensure data quality, scalability and maintainability of data models and pipelines;
  • Create data products for other domains and make use of existing data products;
  • Take ownership of the GTM data infrastructure (git, airflow, dbt, snowflake) to enable self-service analytics for Data Analysts.
     

Extra skills

  • Experience with data mesh architecture;
  • Experience working in fintech and with transactional data models;
  • Experience using third-party tools with GTM, such as Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, Ads platforms, and SAP.
