We are continuing our partnership with the world’s most recognized sportswear brand, who is now hiring for the Senior Java Developer role. 

The company’s tech hub is providing technical solutions to the fast growth digital business, creating the vision, designing, building and operating everything related to digital B2B or internal solutions. 

In this position, you will become part of a team that is continuously looking for creativity, perfection but also satisfaction. There’s a tremendous responsibility of creating the new, building premium experiences for internal and external users, where the consumer is at the core of everything we create. 

Our ideal colleague would be an ambitious coder with a great sense of humor, who is eager to learn new things and provide solutions to problems that are not subject to the current backlog.
 

Job requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience with Java;
  • Experience with Java 8+ features;
  • Great experience with Spring Framework (Core, Data, Web, AOP) and Spring Boot;
  • Previous work with Microservices;
  • Experience working with scalable applications (horizontal and vertical scaling);
  • Experience with events/message driven applications;
  • SQL (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) know-how;
  • Experience with at least one NoSQL DB;
  • Previous work with Git;
  • Self-motivated and self-managing person, with previous leadership experience;
  • Very adaptable, comfortable in adopting a new coding style;
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Join the solution review/ design process with the entire team, whenever is needed;
  • Implement accepted solutions and collaborate with developers and testers in order to get the best output;
  • Own provided implementations and offer support to other colleagues when needed;
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Solution Architect and Scrum Master, and have a proactive attitude in meetings;
  • Be part of release team whenever needed and provide necessary support when features are released to production;
  • Be open to handle production issues with priority when the client report them as critical.
     

Extra skills

  • Experience with AWS;
  • Kubernetes know-how;
  • Hands-on experience with implementations that are designed and applied with multithreading in mind;
  • Experience with Redis or other distributed cache;
  • Experience with Kafka and/ or Elasticsearch;
  • Previous work with various tools like Kibana, Instana, Grafana, Jenkins;
  • Experience with IntelliJ.
