About the project

How we hire:
At Pentalog, excellence is what you'll do. We're guided by a mission to positively impact the software development world.

Our client, an outsourcing provider of customer experience management, has built a platform that meets the challenges of digital customer relations: omnichannel, social networks, gamification, chatbots, mobile, semantic analysis and real-time analytics. Designed by operations, for operations and using a deep knowledge of the customer experience, this product simplifies communication for customers and contact center teams in enterprises and large corporations through simple and flexible applications.

Pentalog is currently supporting the company, who’s on the lookout for a System Administrator. As a member of the DevOps team within the Software R&D department, the person in this role will be responsible for keeping all systems operational and up to date as well as supporting the delivery and developer teams to maintain client infrastructure and manage investigation on incidents. The team’s main objective is to guarantee the proper functioning and quality of the services and applications that are running under its responsibility.

More on the project:

The DevOps team works transversally to support and build hosting infrastructure for the Development and Delivery teams. The Kanban agile method is being used to manage the activity.

Product development teams are driven by the Agile Scrum method, organized in squads of 6-8 people featuring a Product Owner, a Lead Developer (acting as a Scrum Master), Developers (frontend & backend) and QA Engineers. UI/UX Designers are also working transversally for all squads.

Hosted applications go from single server applications to 2-tier and 3-tier architectures as well as containerized applications and micro-services.

The team participates also in Public and hybrid Cloud projects as more and more workloads from the group move to the Public Cloud.

Everyone takes part in the enhancement, evolution and the different solutions managed, as they stay up to date and eventually propose new solutions to be implemented. The team is fond of Open Source software and solutions but we also work with several partners and editors, the idea being to find what best suits the needs of the group.

Debian – AWS – Azure – Web Services – Terraform – Ansible – Docker – Git
