Our new client, a top global provider of customer experience products and solutions is developing a Customer Engagement Management (CEM) platform that delivers true operational efficiency and an optimized customer experience. This B2B platform leverages deep knowledge of the customer experience, simplifying communication for customers and contact centre teams in enterprises and large corporations through smooth and flexible applications.

We are currently searching for a Technical Director who will be the first technology go-to expert and play an integral role in planning and implementing the product and contributing to the product scalability and growth. Reporting directly to the global CTO Software R&D of the group, this person will be managing the developers and engineering team.

Driven by the Agile Scrum method, the team is organized in squads of 6-8 people featuring a Product Owner, a Lead Developer (acting as Scrum Master), Frontend & Backend Developers and QA Engineers. Their DevOps Engineers and UI/UX Designers are dedicated to all squads.
 

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of previous working experience as a Technical Director.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with complex project management and agile methods.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A driven and proactive problem solver.
  • Strong ownership skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Fluency in English.
     

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop and retain talents in the development team.
  • Manage team objectives, assignment, and allocation.
  • Develop, track and control budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations.
  • Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet scalability and needs.
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy client uptime and internal financial targets.
  • Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence.
  • Consolidate the client’s technology platforms and create plans for each module controlling technical debt.
  • Track, analyze and monitor technology performance and client SLA metrics.
  • Propose a specific plan to meet scalability and control/reduce technical debt. 
  • Manage the microservices to convert the monolith app into a microservices architecture.
  • Ensure clear progress status, risks and alert management on the projects.
  • Collaborate with the customer delivery team to meet client priorities and satisfaction.
  • Oversee all system design and changes in system and applicative architecture.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
  • Build strong practices in UX/UI, DevOps, product quality and documentation.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
