Freelance Projects

Freelance Projects

Developer – freelance mission focusing on application development based on .NET technologies.

  • Development of several projects based on an ASP.NET MVC architecture: project configurations, database connections, database design using Code-First approach, database seeds, package configurations, repository (GIT/SVN) creation and management.
  • Working with Data relation classes (DateSets, DataContext), scaffolding the default pages for existing models; configuring the validators and restrictions for data entities; querying the data via lambda and LINQ.
  • Configuration of the Dependency Injection (Ninject) for different versions of MVC, following the Repositories pattern for SoC, isolating different layers of application.
  • Page rendering with Razor, using dynamic objects and server session to send data over the requests.
  • Tracking the migration of database schema between deployed versions.
  • Implementation of custom attributes for particular methods (overriding the Authorization) and custom global filters.
  • Configuration of different routings for one single application (HTTP REST Web Service + Web Application).
  • Controlling the application and controllers events to implement custom business, validations, authorizations etc.
  • Implementation and registration of the Razor custom helper methods and http handlers.
  • Working with WebAPI to provide REST services; handling CORS posts.
  • Programming in C# 4.0, C# 4.5, C# 5.0.

Participation in the development of several projects:
– Application developed for a local science magazine publishing office – the system supports article submission, paper review with a specific mechanism, administration page, magazine creation, unique download (articles can be accessed only by one user – the purchaser – who receives one download link, which cannot be transferred to another person). The main objective of the application was to offer users the possibility to send a science article for review by publisher. The reviewer must leave a comment for each point of analysis. The administrator can tracking the process, being able to verify how many points have already been commented. At the end of the review, the Administrator has to take the decision – to approve or reject the article, whose decision is sent as an e-mail notification to the user.
Another part of the project focuses on journal (magazine) submission. The administrator has the right to create a new “journal” entity, by uploading the PDF version of the magazine, writing a description to it and attaching validated articles (with their names, descriptions, involved scientists) to the magazine preview page. When the magazine is uploaded, a “purchase” page is created. Thus, the registered users can contact the publishing house, send them a payment in exchange for the possibility to download the magazine. The technical environment of the project includes: C# 4.0, ASP.NET MVC3, Entity Framework (Code First), Migrations (Database), Razor, Ninject (Dependency Injection), jQuery UI, SVN, ActionMailer, NUnit, SQLExpress, SQL Server Compact. The project duration was 3 months.

  • Carrying out estimations.
  • Implementation of all desired functionality at all application layers (Front-End, Back-End, DataBase).
  • R&D for best suited technologies.
  • Application testing.
  • Support for the deployment.
  • Presentation of the project to the client.

– Application which provides project management control. The user has the possibility to create his own projects, including general information: deadlines, contacts, clients, developers etc. The user can assign the developers and the clients to a project. Each of them (developers/clients) is a separated entity, having their own track of projects, contact data etc. Anther part of the application is represented by the creation of templates for surveys. A template contains textual questions and the answer inputs (input box, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns etc). When a template is created, the user can assign the client or developer to the survey. At this moment, application captures this relation and sends an e-mail with a generated session key for this survey. The user (sender) can view the report list including information on by whom and when surveys were completed, having as well the possibility to access the provided answers. The technical environment of the project includes: C# 4.0, ASP.NET MVC3, Entity Framework, Razor, Ninject, jQuery UI, GIT, ActionMailer, NUnit, SQLExpress. The project duration was 2 months.

  • Carrying out estimations.
  • Implementation of all desired functionality at all application layers.
  • Presentation of the project to the client.

– Web tool used to help manage projects and personnel daily meetings. Users have the possibility to create their own group of users. Each group contains only the real application users. If users are not registered yet, a special invitation e-mail is sent to them, with a simplified registration process. Application users can assign roles to each group member:
1. Administrator – full moderation access;
2. Participant – users can moderate only their own content;
3. Client – users with read-only rights.
The group is visible only to assigned participants.
Beside the group moderation functionality, there is also a “cards” management module. It represents a page full of empty cards, one card per user. The administrator, or “participant” can fill the card with suggestions, problems and tasks. This page includes a calendar, which allows users to select a particular day and see the group’s activity. The technical environment of the project includes: C# 4.0, ASP.NET MVC4, Entity Framework (Code First), Migrations (Database), Razor, Ninject (Dependency Injection), jQuery UI, GIT, ActionMailer, NUnit, SQLExpress, SQL Server Compact, Bundling, HTTP Handlers. The project duration was 4 months.

  • Carrying out estimations.
  • Implementation of all desired functionality at all application layers.

– Workouts online booking application dedicated to a boxing club – the project represents an application which comprises three components: Mobile (Sencha Touch), Web Services, Administrator web application. The administrator part, as a web application, allows users to create workouts, assigning the coaches as well as the date and time when the workout occurs. As for coaches, the administrator is the one who fills the contact information (phone, availability, e-mail etc). After the creation of a workout, the administrator has the possibility to view the calendar of all the activities of the sports club. He can also visualize registered users and booked workouts. The mobile application gives users access to all available workouts and to booking modules either for available workouts, or for a personal workout with a coach. The Web Services provide all the information for the mobile application. The technical environment of the project includes: C# 4.5, ASP.NET MVC5, Entity Framework (Code First), Migrations (Database), Razor, Ninject (Dependency Injection), jQuery UI, GIT, ActionMailer, NUnit, SQLExpress, Bundling, WebAPI (REST). The project duration was 2 months.

  • Carrying out estimations.
  • Implementation of all desired functionality at all application layers (Front-End, Back-End, DataBase, Mobile, WebService).
  • Application testing.
