Qa Engineer

- Guiding the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to satisfy customers
- Guiding the team on how to get the most of out self-organisation
- Guiding the team on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment
- Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
- Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

- Organizing and leading the onsite QA team.
- Conduct training sessions with the new testers.
- Organizing and supervising the Applause QA team composed by 25 testers.
- When needed, using resources from NOC engineering department for QA purposes – also organizing and supervising that everything is according to the plan for that specific test day.
- Prioritizes and organizes the execution of tests depending on requirements.
- Offer suggestions and show what would be the best way in which a task should be handled based on previous experience.
- Analysis, creation and execution of test cases designed for specific applications.
- Generate test reports.
- Verifying specific functions as well as the whole functionality of the products by applying test cycles, regression testing, identifying problems on all supported devices and browsers for defining their cause.
- Database usage and maintenance.
- Reporting to the studio manager and producer about everything concerning the products.

Job responsibilities:

- Works with the lead tester in order to create the test plan and any other documents that are needed during the project.
- Helps the lead tester as required in performing objective and professional evaluations for the testers in his team.
- Keeps a constant communication and information flow between testers - lead tester and vice versa, acting as a connecting bridge for all aspects related to work inside his team.
- Coordinates teams while performing tests and oversees the work inside the team.
- Makes sure that the best test methods are applied inside the team in order to improve work quality and meet project’s deadlines.
- Respects the daily or weekly planning conceived by the lead tester and helps the lead with improving the planning if necessarily.
- Takes into account and applies in the testing process all documents provided to him (design documents, change list etc) and shares them with the team making sure that everyone is up to date with the latest changes.
- Respects and tests the part of the project that was assigned to him by the lead tester and is responsible for everything that this implies.
- Finds and submits new bugs in the database and actively participates in the testing process and shares his testing experience and knowledge inside the team.
- Performs bugs regression and database updates (open, close, update bug status etc) as assigned by the lead tester.
- Motivates the team by his own activity and by keeping a high level of moral.
