I was successful in securing a new contract to participate in the re-imaging IT system project, involving deployment of images, making images of PCs and laptop devices. During this time, I have provided comprehensive drive protection by encrypting the system drive and setting encryption policies for data transfer. I have managed the installation of new printers and roaming print services such as ‘follow me’ to find users based on physical location. In addition, I defined and set up user email accounts in Microsoft Outlook and Office 365 in addition to installing a range of applications.
During this contract via Education Support Professionals, I provided 1st and 2nd line technical support to faculty staff and students, which involved the creation of new network and email user accounts. I monitored PCs and laptops daily across the school to identify and diagnose complex problems and support IT asset management. I was selected as an SME to provide support in IT lessons in the installation and maintenance of servers, updating and installing network software. I also supported the management of educational systems such as interactive whiteboards (IWBs), data projectors and multimedia solutions. To maintain the integrity and security of the school database, I performed weekly and monthly system back-ups. I primarily operated within a Windows environment to support multiple users, requiring excellent prioritisation to meet user needs.

This contract was secured via Joskos Solutions to provide 1st and 2nd line support for all users and communicated solutions in a professional manner via phone, email or face to face. As a troubleshooter, I managed end-user incidents and visited client sites to resolve IT issues and operationally maintain IT network infrastructure. Projects included planning, deploying and maintaining sound virtualisation of server environments using VMware ESXi 5.5 to 6.0 and Hyper–V. I was lead administrator for Windows Server 2008 (R2)/2012 (R2) and features including DHCP, DNS, AD, Group Policy, NTFS and file/print services. I applied application policy updates, captured and deployed operating system images through WDS and managed the Enterprise Antivirus console and local/cloud backup solutions. I managed IT assets including hardware and network printers, as well as iPads. Using sound IT knowledge, I ed training programs to new staff on daily technical tasks, including set up and management of new users. During school holidays, I provided flexibility to complete small to medium sized projects allocated by the IT Project Manager.

During my lengthy career with the school, I delivered 1st and 2nd line support for over 270 teaching personnel and over 1260 students throughout the college campus. I was responsible for maintaining the efficiency of hardware, software, networking and devices through periodic maintenance on a preventative and proactive basis. I managed any incidents, involving identification and diagnosis of hardware failures to install replacements without any loss of data. In addition, I troubleshot complex issues on the school Windows operating system and server versions 2003, 2008 and 2012. As a highly knowledgeable individual, I assisted the Senior IT Technician in software management and training of new staff in IT management best practice techniques. I was also selected to undertake the role of IT Project Manager for 6-months to manage school projects end-to-end.
I secured a part time role to provide IT support to end users within the school.
