Likeabird.io is a startup funded by the Pentalabbs startup accelerator and incubator via its Services for Equity:

 

Likeabird.io offers a community animation tool to Community Managers from big caps and digital communication agencies. Presented as an online SaaS application, this tool is specialized in running game contests on Twitter and automating interactions with the participants to these contests while detecting fake contestants.

 

The Likeabird.io Twitter tool is interfaced with a multilingual showcase presenting various use cases: RedBull Twitter contest, Diesel Parfums Twitter game contest… The purpose of this website is to acquire new clients in France, the United Kingdom and the United States via an inbound marketing strategy.

 

The backend of the Likeabird Twitter application calls the Twitter API and allows Community Managers to animate their community and increase their database of fans, prospects and clients via such Tweet-to-reveal or Follow & RT contests or viral BotOReply mechanics on Twitter.

Project description

 

Our client Likeabird.io resorted to Pentalog for outsourcing its twofold development strategy: application development and extension of its activity to France and worldwide.

 

In particular, Likeabird.io entrusted Pentalog and the Soluti WebTech agency with:

  • the implementation of a Software Delivery platform

  • the cloud development and hosting of the https://likeabird.io/ web responsive site updated to a new graphic charter

  • the evolutive maintenance of the Likeabird SaaS application

  • the backend development to call the Twitter API

  • Algorithm design for fake contestant detection

The client is the Product Owner in charge of writing the functional specifications and designing the SaaS application interfaces.

 

Success key factors

 

The Pentalog services helped the client at organizational level and allowed it to refocus on its core business (software publishing). The project management practiced by Pentalog and Soluti aims at implementing best practices, a guarantee of long-term sustainability for the Likeabird.io startup.

  • The CTO, Alexandre VALLIN, assisted the client in the project and team management

    • specifications and technical arbitration

    • defining development organization.

  • At the start of the project, the knowledge transfer allowed the client to be quickly accompanied by a more experienced Front End and Back End team located in the Republic of Moldova.

  • The client benefited from training on the Jira project management tool and the agile Scrum methodology.

  • The Services for Equity funding allowed Likeabird CEO to focus on business. Doing so, he achieved a 20% growth in sales each month and could be remunerated.

  • Data Science allowed the client to propose its final users a fake contestant automatic detection feature, an essential differentiation factor compared to other market players.
