Benefiting from the advantages of outsourcing is a considerable catalyst for the companies willing to strengthen their margins by reducing costs.
The implementation of a nearshore or offshore IT subcontracting system is a complex process which must be mastered in order to generate real earnings in a sustainable manner. Furthermore, these earnings are not an end in themselves if they are not used for investment purposes, especially for ensuring the transition of the company to an all-digital solution and the Cloud. This approach is in line with our “One Step Beyond” offer and, coupled with our Triple Play business model, it makes Pentalog the ideal partner for all the software development projects and IT services you may require.
With One Step Beyond, Pentalog goes a lot further than the standard IT service providers, by proposing a customized roadmap in 3 stages to help you get started with the IT outsourcing in an almost transparent manner. Pentalog stands for over 10 years of offshoring experience, 850 employees, specializing in remote project management and optimized organization to ensure the success of your projects related to the development, maintenance or remote administration of your information system.

3 stages to ensure the success of your transition
One Step Beyond stands for a 3-stage commitment between Pentalog and its customer for a minimum period of 3 years.
- 1st year: Transferring your activities to Eastern Europe
During the first year, Pentalog assists you in transferring your projects to its nearshore delivery centers in Eastern Europe. In the course of this stage, we offer you the opportunity to minimize risks starting with reducing your costs by appealing to the services of our nearshore Delivery Center in Romania or the Republic of Moldova. The transition is made very easily thanks to the nearshore advantages:
teams which speak your language. 100% of our staff in Romania and the Republic of Moldova speak English
there is a slight time difference: there is only one hour difference between Paris and Romania or the Republic of Moldova
an easily accessible destination: Bucharest is only 3 hours away, direct flight duration, and there are flights every 3 hours. During this setting up stage, you can visit our Delivery
Centers as often as you like in order to perfect the organization issues and give your approval for your team profiles.
- 2nd year: Transferring part of your activities to Asia
Starting with the 2nd year, depending on your project, we may start transferring part of your activities to Asia. They shall remain under the supervision of the European team and your interlocutors don’t change. For instance, testing activities are the first which can be transferred within a software development project. In this case, there is a double advantage: on the one hand, we can take advantage of the time difference when performing the tests so that the European team is informed of the results at the beginning of their work day. This system works both ways and the encountered bugs can be corrected before the Asian team starts work the following day. Therefore, there is a double optimization for a two-fold efficiency increase.
- Starting with the 3rd year: Transferring the remaining activities to Asia under European management
All the activities are transferred to the Hanoi Delivery Center, where the team has reached its full development stage. In order to facilitate the transition, the project will remain under Eastern European management so that you can still benefit from the nearshore advantages.
Depending on the maturity of your project in terms of outsourcing, we invite you to embark on the last stage, meaning the full transfer to Asia, including the management activities.
Thus, the cost reduction may be as high as 70% while maintaining constant quality.
During the first outsourcing stage, the additional cost generated by setting up the team is rapidly wiped out by revenue due to the lower rates of a project carried out inshore. Our forecast for a standard project is that the related costs will be absorbed in 9 months. This is why you can save up to 25% of your IT development and services starting from the first year.
The second stage involves additional costs related to the stage of activity transfer to Asia. Nevertheless, this extra cost is completely transparent for you as it is absorbed by Pentalog by maintaining the Eastern European average daily rates. Therefore, the skill transfer and activity start-up on the Asian platform requires no financial effort on your side; your budget remains the same.
Cost cutsEventually, starting with the third year, you will benefit from a further cost decrease, as the invoicing will be made based on Asian average daily rates. At this stage, the savings amount to as much as 40%.
Cost cutting must absolutely not go hand in hand with a lower quality of the delivered products. This is why One Step Beyond is based on the same quality requirements which apply to any other project, be it in Eastern Europe, where all the Delivery Centers are ISO 9001:2008 certified, or in Asia, where the same processes are rigorously applied.
