Our client, a top website, where people who enjoy going around the world post their reviews, is looking for a new member to add to their cybersecurity attack team.

If you’re passionate about breaking into web applications and networks in order to expose vulnerabilities and help fix them, then the Penetration Tester role might be a perfect fit.  As you will join this project dedicated to the largest travel-based platform in the world, you will take on the task of evaluating the security posture of our client’s applications and network assets.

The duties and responsibilities listed below represent the major responsibilities of the position; others may be assigned, as required.
 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field i.e. Information Systems or Computer Science;
  • Ethical Hacker Certification or similar skills;
  • At least 4 years of demonstrated manual security testing;
  • Experience implementing and operating security technologies and processes in a hybrid cloud environment, such as AWS or Azure and customer premise;
  • Scripting language experience - JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Go, Java, Node or equivalent;
  • Experience with security vulnerability and penetration tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Qualys, Tenable, PowerShell, Electra, Cydia Impactor, Wireshark, ADB, and Drozer;
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and service support processes;
  • Strong IaaS security skills, with a focus on cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP;
  • Hands-on experience in security aspects of compliance standards (ISO 27001, SSAE 16, COBIT, PCI, SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.);
  • Deep knowledge of working with OWASP concepts for various solutions;
  • Experience and desire to work in a professional team;
  • Great level of English.

Responsibilities

For this role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing and/ or coordinating manual Attack and Penetration (A&P) testing, utilizing and leveraging the latest technologies in this role,
  • Performing red team assessments,
  • Researching new security threats, vulnerabilities and exploit techniques,
  • Responding to new security threats and helping implement new requirements as needed,
  • Completing work accurately and within the deadlines required,
  •  Providing technical guidance and oversight for technical resources,
  • Working in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality of investigation information.

Extra skills

  • ITILv3 certification preferred;
  • Security certifications are desired but not required (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, MSCE, CSSLP).
