As they are experiencing strong growth both in France and internationally - the result of bold ambition and careful planning – the client is currently looking for a Data Engineer to help build a new product for their clients.

More on the project:

Driven by the Agile Scrum method, the team is organized in multidisciplinary squads of 6-8 people featuring Developers (front-end & back-end), DevOps Engineers, UI/UX Designers, Product Owners and QA Engineers.

Java; Python; MySQL; MongoDB; PostgreSQL; AWS Services 
 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer or related field, in a company with large, complex data sources.
  • Previous work in an Agile environment.
  • Good communication and English language skills.
     

Responsibilities

  • Help design a large-scale centralized data warehousing infrastructure.
  • Design, implement and maintain effective data storage, security, sharing and publishing.
  • Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
  • Define data models.
  • Gather and process raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using batch and real-time data processing frameworks.
  • Continuously improve quality, efficiency, and scalability of data pipelines.
  • Work with international teams that have a different approach and thinking.
  • Work closely with the product team and business partners to come up with innovative ideas and solutions on improving the processes.
     

Extra skills

  • Strong experience in distributed data processing, Data Modeling, ETL Development, and Data Warehousing.
  • Familiarity with best practices for data ingestion and data design.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards and testing.
  • Good experience with CI/CD.
