We're seeking a talented Platform Engineer to assist us in developing and refining our newly created field service management platform. Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a software engineer and a strong interest in building and operating secure, scalable, and reliable distributed systems;
  • Programming experience with C#;
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell;
  • Proven experience with DevOps/Monitoring/APM tooling at the implementation level (ideally AWS);
  • Proven experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines;
  • An excellent understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tooling (ideally Pulumi);
  • Experience building tools and infrastructure centered around the needs of internal users;
  • Good communication skills, knowing when to ask for help, being eager to learn new techniques that they are not familiar with.

Responsibilities

  • Improving our Infrastructure as Code (IaC);
  • Implementing advanced CI/CD pipelines and starting to integrate New Relic;
  • Migrating our authentication solution to be powered by Cognito (involving frontend, backend, and mobile code);
  • Further migrating/refactoring IaC code and looking at new configuration management systems.
     

Extra skills

  • Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript/React is considered a significant advantage;
  • Previous experience as a Platform Engineer.
