Pentalog has partnered with software provider of disruptive technology that automates the process of creating a personal doctor’s report. With the help of their software system, our Ireland-based client is set on enabling health screening specialists create personalized preventative health reports and action plans.

Now, the company is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer with a passion for utilizing technology, who wants to help solve the problems of healthcare.

Job requirements

  • A strong sense of OO programming;
  • 4+ years of web development experience;
  • Meaningful experience working with Ruby on Rails;
  • Experience working with Agile and/ or Lean software development approaches;
  • Git proficiency;
  • Experience writing automated tests using RSpec and Capybara;
  • Ability to deliver the best solutions to problems within the constraints;
  • Passionate about technology and how it can make the world a better place;
  • Previous experience working in a team, with an admiration for code reviews;
  • Very good English language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a senior software engineer with the development team;
  • Participate in decision making;
  • Deliver high quality peer-reviewed code;
  • Review code from team members;
  • Meet the needs of customers;
  • Improve how things are done, as your turn customer problems into solutions.
     

Extra skills

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Experience with MongoDB (or any other NoSQL) database.
